Keep your Nature's Bakery Fig Minis Blueberry fresh and delicious with these simple storage and handling tips.
Quick answer
To keep your Nature's Bakery Fig Minis Blueberry fresh, store them in a cool, dry place and reseal the box after opening.
Why storage matters for fig minis
Fig minis are made with real fruit and whole wheat, which means they can lose moisture or become stale if exposed to heat, humidity, or air. Proper storage preserves their soft texture and blueberry flavor.
The individually wrapped minis are convenient for on-the-go snacking, but the outer box still needs care to protect the entire batch.
Steps to keep your fig minis fresh
- Store in a cool, dry place: Keep the box in a pantry or cabinet away from direct sunlight, stoves, or dishwashers. Ideal temperature is below 75°F (24°C). Heat can soften the fig filling and cause wrappers to stick.
- Reseal the box after opening: Fold the inner liner or tape the box flap closed to reduce air exposure. Do not transfer minis to an unsealed container. Air exposure is the main cause of staleness.
- Avoid refrigeration unless necessary: Room temperature storage is best. Only refrigerate in hot, humid climates, and let minis come to room temperature before eating to restore softness. Condensation from cold storage can make wrappers damp and affect texture.
- Use within the best-by date: Check the date on the box and plan to finish the 20-count within a few weeks of opening for optimal flavor and texture. Fig minis are best enjoyed fresh; they don't improve with age.
